Chair Glenn is the Chief Operating Officer of AusBiotech and is responsible for business development, finance and general operations. With 30 years' experience in general management, Glenn’s primary expertise lies in sales, marketing, finance, distribution and manufacturing in the life sciences market. Glenn has experience in finance, human resources and product development with extensive experience in product development and distribution networks both locally and internationally. He has extensive experience in key/large corporate account management and business development in Australia, Asia, Japan, Europe and North America. |

Lawrence Gozlan Lawerence is the CEO and founder of Scientia Capital, a specialised global investment fund focused exclusively in life sciences. Prior to this, he was responsible for the largest biotechnology investment portfolio in Australia as the institutional biotechnology analyst at QIC, a funds manager with over $50 billion under management. He was also the senior biotechnology sell-side analyst in the equities team at Foster Stockbroking, and has had senior corporate finance experience advising life science companies at Deloitte. |

Dr Geoff Brooke Geoff is Managing Director of GBS Venture Partners and has more than 20 years' venture capital experience. Geoff was formerly President of MedVest Inc., a US-based early-stage venture capital group he co-founded with Johnson & Johnson. Geoff's VC experience includes start-up financings, public company placements and corporate acquisitions, as well as public listings on both NASDAQ and ASX. He has been an investor, executive and director of private and public companies, and is currently on the board of directors of several GBS portfolio companies. He is licensed in clinical medicine by the Medical Board of Victoria and his post-graduate studies were in anaesthetics/intensive care. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery from the University of Melbourne and a MBA from IMEDE (now IMD) in Switzerland. |

Hershel Berry Founded in 2005, Blueprint works with emerging private and public companies to secure investor and business relationship in the US, Australia and Europe. The firm is based in San Francisco and has offices in Sydney and Berlin. Prior experience includes serving as a Director of The Trout Group, an investor relations firm serving the life science sector and Idealab, a venture capital firm that incubates technology based companies. Through the years Hershel has remained active in No Mayo, an organisation he founded in 1990 that supports music education in public schools. While at No Mayo, he secured corporate partnerships, and oversaw donations to public high schools in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City. Partnership highlights included: Sony Music, Alliance Capital & Booz Allen Hamilton. Hershel has a B.S. in Business and English from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY. |

Dr Amanda Caples Amanda is the Director Science & Biomedical Programs in DIIRD. She is responsible for the Victorian Government’s Science, Technology and Innovation Initiative, including: Victoria’s Science Agenda; the Biotechnology Strategic Development Plan; Healthy Futures; The Victorian Life Sciences Statement; VicStart and Boosting Highly Innovative SME’s – Technology Commercialisation Program; and international science linkages. In her role at DIIRD, Amanda has been involved in stem cell legislative reform and in the establishment of major program initiatives, such as the Victoria-California Institute for Regenerative Medicine Stem Cell Alliance, the Victorian Neurotrauma Initiative, the Victorian Cancer Agency and the Victoria-Israel Science and Technology Fund. Prior to DIIRD, Amanda has had over 15 years' experience in the commercialisation of medical research and pharmaceutical product development with local and international firms. She has secured more than $200M of technology deals with global players, successfully registered new pharmaceutical products in Australia and New Zealand and has been involved in many Cooperative Research Centres, joint ventures and start-up companies. Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) and PhD from the University of Melbourne. She is a member of the Ivanhoe Grammar School Board of Governors. |

Dr Anna Lavelle Dr Anna Lavelle was appointed inaugural Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of AusBiotech Ltd in June 2005. AusBiotech is the peak industry body for biotechnology with over 3,000 members. AusBiotech is part of the Pharmaceutical Industry Council and Chairs the Asia/Pacific biotechnology network. Anna also Chairs, or is a member of, various federal and state government committees associated with biotechnology. Previously Anna was a senior executive with the Australian Red Cross Blood Service (ARCBS), commencing in 1998 as Director, responsible for strategic planning and business development. Prior to joining ARCBS, Anna held positions of CEO of a public health organisation, industry lobbyist for a member organisation and commenced employment as an academic at Monash University, Melbourne. Anna holds a PhD in Genetics from the University of Melbourne and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. |

Janelle Casey Janelle Casey is currently Austrade's National Industry Manager - Health, Biotech & Wellbeing. Austrade assists Australian companies to export and is responsible for attracting inward investment into Australia. Between 1996 and 2005, Janelle was the Austrade Trade Commissioner in Hong Kong and Singapore assisting technology and infrastructure companies to win business in Asia. Prior to Austrade, she held various marketing roles with accounting, legal and banking organisations. |
